Jay-Z, Hip Hop Artist… Graphic Designer?
The new Brooklyn Nets basketball team logo was unveiled this morning and designed by part-owner and hip-hop legend Jay-Z, an extremely successful musician from Brooklyn. The merch in the team’s store references hip-hop imagery which ties the team to Brooklyn’s rap history.” more here…
“Knitting Guy” Given 10 Days to Remove Stop Sign Flowers
I haven’t seen these in person but it looks like a pretty fun idea. “Knitting Guy” has been adding knitted green stems to his neighborhood stop signs in Clairemont, San Diego transforming ordinary stop signs into towering flowers. Seems simple enough. His goal was to decorate 100 of the signs. But recently the City has been asked him to take them all down. Read the whole article here
The Most Extreme Window Display Ever
A woman was put on display in the shop window of a Lush Cosmetic store in London, wearing nothing but a flesh-coloured body stocking, to re-enact widely used animal testing practices. The ‘cruelty-free’ chain Lush is helping to spearhead a Humane Society International campaign to end cosmetic testing on animals. Read the whole article here…

Elevator Has Lickable Wallpaper
Obviously inspired by Willy Wonka, a baked goods company in the UK, decided to make an entire elevator… lickable. Yes, lickable. There are 1,325 lickable cookies lining the wall which you can lick up and down as you go up and down. They say once a cookie is licked, it’s removed from the walls… more here
